  • The remains of the great Roman amphitheatre are clearly visible on the side of piazza Sant'Oronzo. Steps still well preserved. Charming at night with nice lighting, during Christmas it is even more to the beautiful crib that is set up. I also had the good fortune to see him in the snow: a rarity!

  • This amphitheatre was originally to resemble the Colosseum, but even now while remodelled makes her beautiful figure in Piazza St Oronzo.

  • This impressive amphitheatre for now I was discovered about one third placed on one side of piazza Sant'Oronzo, the remaining part is that there are only some part above ground excavated while hints that were rebuilt with original pieces found. Scholars believe that this is an amphitheater with three orders of which two above ground. The important discovery was made by digging the foundations for the construction of the building of the Bank of Italy during Christmas inside was a beautiful crib with views of the countryside of Lecce
