  • The building certainly characterizes the charming little village of Latera is the Ducal Palace, residence of the Farnese in Latera had set the center of the Duchy. The building size is not huge, it's absolutely fine and appears well restored so that in it there is the town hall with its offices. The façade is of particular elegance and demonstrates how the building was an important aristocratic residence rather than a fortress. Another notable building is the Church of San Clemente which retains the original Romanesque façade and inside which are some paintings and a baptismal font. The story of Latera is deeply tied to the Farnese family from 1400 and Ranuccio. The Farnese administered wisely their Duchy until 1688, and San Clemente Church was built on the ruins of an earlier Romanesque church at the urging of the Farnese Dukes. Also of interest is the Fountain of the Duke who is still fed by the aqueduct built by the Farnese.

  • This Palace is located in the historical centre and was built by the Farnese family. Now there is the Town Hall and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the square.

  • The building is very well maintained and now houses the offices of the municipality of Latera. It is possible to enter it, but there is no trace of the Farnese family inside. It was purchased about 25 years ago by private individuals, which in turn had acquired from tool.
