The Museum is perfectly suited to the canons museological and presents a significant amount of finds all well catalogued. To visit especially if you are accompanied by children.
E' un piccolissimo museo (di un piccolissimo Paese), che custodisce per lo più strumenti utilizzati in passato dai contadini, per il lavoro ma non solo. Va visto come memoria della cultura contadina, ... more »It's a tiny Museum (a small town), which houses mostly tools used in the past by peasants, for the job but not only. Should be seen as a memory of the peasant culture, recalling that not so long ago in many countries of the province of Viterbo (lack of industrial and mining settlements, away from major Arterials) agriculture was the only resource for living. More than for a tourist visit (unless you are passionate about this reality) is suitable for teaching students views. Beautiful edifice that houses the Museum.
Museo è una parolona. Un paio di stanze con strumenti della cultura contadina donati - così dicono - da un abitante della zona. more »The Museum is a big word. A couple of rooms with instruments of rural culture donated-so they say-from an inhabitant of the area.
FRANCESCO DI BIAGILaterA is situated in a very special location: bordered by Tuscany to the North, specifically with the municipalities of Pitigliano and Sorano and place where it ceases Highway 312 Castrense, which cut sharply the territory of Alta Tuscia marine areas of Lazio and Tuscany, is located a few kilometers west of Lake Bolsena, within the territory of Monti Volsini, while we can't include any beach or wet soil in your municipality. Similar situation occurs in the West with another much smaller Lake, Lake Mezzano, really a short distance when you consider which is sometimes achieved by locals, but also not included in the territory. The village is perched on a hill spiral located on the northeastern edge of a valley of volcanic origin, surrounded by other hills higher and formed with the sinking of a huge caldera, which originated the nearby lakes. So far the subsoil laterese is characterized by volcanic activities and especially by geothermal effusions (the Latera Caldera, proposed as a site of Community importance in 2005 ): the Valley, rather flat, is located south of the village and is called the plain. Territorially is shared with the commune of Valentano. Characteristic, albeit only at the administrative level, is also the fraction Roadman, located at two roadside Castrense Volsini peaks that tower over Latera: the western part of the village is in fact part of Latera, while the contiguous Eastern municipality of Gradoli, much more distant. The village, which for both municipalities of the same name, is so distant houses few meters but they do have territorial reference to two distant centers around ten kilometres. The village La Buca, adjacent to His Roadman, is the last village before the Tuscany.
