  • Compared to some other places we visited in the area, it wasn't quite as breath taking. However, you get a great view of the sea next to the church and an even better one if you are willing to do the walk up to the castle. Our young children enjoyed the walk as well- was not too difficult for a 4 yr old. Lovely harbor area and some fun shops if you wander down some of the side streets. Would be happy to visit again.
  • After the train strike, I took the bus (5 EUR but no one checks the tickets) to Porto Venere. A nice little town like Cinque Terre, but the clutch is the church and grotto at the end. Lord Byron came here apparently. Nice views, and photos. Awesome.
  • Breath taking view over the cliff and old castle. Photography delight
  • it's an awesome place! perfect if you want to visit a little typical italian city :) there is some place to go in the water, but there are only big stones, no sand. enjoy!
  • Beautiful small seaside town with fewer tourists than the Cinque Terra villages.
