  • A stunning, historical archaeological site which should be valued more. Unfortunately let go and many do not know him. Too bad

  • Stunning example of a Rome Amphitheatre. About 10 to 15 minute drive from the city. Beware the signposting of course, because as usual in Italy it leaves a lot to be desired. Closes for lunch at 1.30p...  more »
  • The ruins of the Amfitheaters are still very impressive and give you an idea how it looked like in Roman times here. The area is sparsely developed, there are a few little information. Everything could be presented more appealing for those interested in history. About 1 km further East is the site of a Roman Theatre, which is unfortunately still less developed even though archaeological finds are presented here in a small showroom. Through an uncut meadow terrain without trails to get to the ruins of the spectator stands, in some places, fragments of columns, tablets and statues are piled carelessly - some German Museum would lick the finger afterwards. Here only the plates are to see where guess information boards were installed. Both plants are worth a visit but also in this form if you are interested in Roman buildings.
