  • We attended a morning visit lasting a few hours, taking advantage of the bad weather. Admission is only in guided groups and payment, the price is modest. Guides, very prepared and engaging, they are mostly children and grandchildren of former employees of the factory and therefore capable of transmitting stories and anecdotes very evocative of the people who have made the history of this place and the island. Very interesting to visit the cinema room recounting the battle of the aegates Islands, which was the final naval battle of the first Punic War, through a multiediale experience. Ideal for children of school age. Not to be missed.

  • The visit to the former Florio is one of the things that are worth doing once in Favignana. Listen to the stories of the guides is very interesting

  • The Favignana Florio factory visit, can not miss when it comes to spending a few days in the island. Magnificently restored and made accessible in its parts, makes you make immediately aware of the great work that revolved around fishing for tuna and large quantities of fish. Massacres of 10,000 tuna weren't all that uncommon. Well recovered boats, nets and equipment. You can realize even of further processing up to the finished product. Entrance 6 euros including driving well prepared. a place to visit prettiest place that is part of the social history of these places.

  • Nice museum to see how the Tuna industry worked for years... But personally im happy the Mattanza is over...
  • The plant tour Florio was a great surprise: the structure is metaphysics. The friendly guide Francesca, has the ability to enchant visitors with accurate explanations, provoking an atmosphere of pathos that attracts the attention of everyone. Trim levels are fantastic. Very interesting on the tube Light, disturbing and struck the parade of speakers panels, each with an elderly worker who narrates his own story! From all the devotion for the Florio family that has done so much for the island. Not to be missed!

  • Exciting experience especially for our children who were very impressed with the whole process of tuna processing! Finally a big thank you to all the staff for having recovered the camera during the visit we had forgotten. A great appreciation for fairness and professionalism. Will definitely be back!!! Best wishes from the crew of the sailing yacht donna rosa!

  • Inside the plant Florio, besides knowing the secrets of tuna fishing, canning preparation, you see, clear and manifest, the magnificence of the Florio family. The facility is well maintained and equipped with guided tours in the company of guardian she places, former employee Florio, who, in typical Sicilian and complexion, tells anecdotes and stories of times gone by.
