Giglio Island, Isola Del Giglio

(4.4/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web)
Explore beaches, a hilltop castle, and villages on Giglio Island. After taking a ferry into the bay where the infamous Costa Concordia cruise ship ran aground in 2012, continue on to wander the village of Giglio Porto, or take a bus up to the fortress at Giglio Castello, or further on to the resort town of Giglio Campese. Find yourself on one of the many sandy beaches, dive beneath the sea, or go hiking through the natural and mountainous interior. Giglio Island is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Isola Del Giglio Edition.

  • We went the first week of September 2016, after the initial trauma because we missed the first ferry and you arrive on the island at 12.00 all tax boat had already left and the buses were a delusion, we rented the boat which is driving without a license and we went around the island. Round with the barchetta is really go at it, the island is gorgeous and in six hours you can get a taste of life as a sailor and bathe in a beautiful sea, away from all the hustle and bustle of the crowd.

  • Beautiful sea, a little crowded in the summer, of course. The food is good! Advice on a boat tour!
