After taking a ferry into the bay where the infamous Costa Concordia cruise ship ran aground in 2012, continue on to wander the village of Giglio Porto, or take a bus up to the fortress at Giglio Castello, or further on to the resort town of Giglio Campese. Find yourself on one of the many sandy beaches, dive beneath the sea, or go hiking through the natural and mountainous interior. Giglio Island is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Isola Del Giglio Edition.

  • I have been to Campese in October and despite the summer period is awesome! The Bay is framed by a Rock in the middle of the sea and the tower built in 1700 for the sighting of ships coming from the West side. The tower is known for the expulsion of the fleets of pirates who gave the last assault nel1799 and with the unification of Italy was demilitarized and sold to private individuals. The beach of Campese is formed from fragments of pink crystals the sea is turquoise, transparent water but falls for in depth; It is a paradise for snorkelling and diving. Its exposure to the West allows the Sun until late in the evening, the winds blow from the South Bay and then instead is repaired. The beach is equipped and is accessible by car or the bus ticket price is 2 euros each way.

  • Given that the captain of the ferry had us getting on the wrong rovinandoci the day so we were not in the mental condition appropriate to experience the island we tried anyway but we find still more attractive and economical our isola bella on Lake maggiore .... an expenditure of stress and do money started with two hundred tickets for buses and crowned by 8 euros taken from the primary care physician for writing an antibiotic to a non-resident of region ... I mean ... you can also say that Tuscany is nice but we did it the whole outline! Never again!!

  • August is perhaps the least suitable, but lily is always worth a visit. Take a boat and go to a secluded beach is easy and convenient. They bring you and you begin again.
