Sant'Angelo (Serrara Fontana), Isola d'Ischia
Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
From Isola d’Ischia, take a boat to the small fishing village of Sant'Angelo (Serrara Fontana). Get lost among the narrow streets, filled with white painted houses and the fragrance of flowers. Enjoy the beach and harbor in the small, traffic-free village. The mobility impaired may have problems getting around, as most of the village is built on a hillside, and buses drop visitors off at the top of the village. With a boat-taxi you can reach some beaches such as fumaroles (where the nearest restaurant is cooking up chicken with potatoes in the sand ... ... ... ... to 100% c.) or Maronti, with its ancient baths. Incantevole come tanti scorci dell'isola. Abbiamo apprezzato la caletta prima di arrivare a Sant'Angelo. Piccola ma riservata. Small, but reserved. Sin just went down to the beach and lay on the free area where just the umbrella of the plant had reached the corner of the towel the lifeguard quickly closed and removed. What ignorance. We lunch at their bar but we had elsewhere. We would have appreciated more order and cleanliness, indeed the entire island, closely resembles a dump sin. Beware if you are arriving in Ischia with your machine much indiscipline stada code is not respected. I had an accident with a scooter that surpassed in area with ban and then fled because without insurance. But other than that Ischia is good to visit once in a lifetime.show original

Giovanni AgostiniFamily run hotel with very helpful and welcoming. The formula may be residence or hotel for an additional charge for rooms with views and terrace, which offer a really nice view. The décor is in line with that of the island so basic but acceptable, if you want the air conditioning (necessary, certainly in rooms without a view in the other I don't know) you have to pay € 5 per day. The room where we are is actually an apartment with kitchenette, a bathroom with another sink and plenty of space. There is a swimming pool with warm thermal water and can swim at night! A marvel. It's about a 10 min walk away from Sant ' angelo and has no parking facilities for this very reason or the car leaves the parking of Succhivo (is 350 m but do not recommend it because the other cars is rather wild and you risk then do not find a place, maybe if you go at night) or to the nearby parking facilities for € 8 per day. At about 300 metres and 50 steps in altitude there is a nice beach where the Sun is only in the very early hours of the afternoon. Breakfast is characterised by plenty of choice and it's all good ... I mean it's nice! Go, even for the good value for moneyshow original

Marilena IovannisciI spent new year's Eve in this magnificent place, and I can honestly say it was the new year of my life, my partner and I spent unforgettable days, we even made medicinal bath in the outdoor pool as the temperature is mild even in midwinter, the new year in a restaurant near the hotel was delightful and the piazzetta di Sant'Angelo played beautiful music , it was very romantic and magical and will never forget it.show original
