  • Having rented a scooter I was lucky enough to spare me half way, but the remainder, namely at the end of the paved road (2 km), is of medium complexity and not suitable for someone who is completely out of practice or uncomfortable shoes. The trouble is, however, all the splendid views from the Summit just make sure not to miss the 2 views, slightly hidden behind the small church, the first is just ahead on the left (here you can see the famous carefully mushroom of Lacco Ameno and the second is inside the tavern. Once you go back and try the last door on the right. The best memory of Ischia!

  • You can get there via numerous paths; not all well indicated, but from fountain or Forio we didn't get lost. Brisk, beautiful view.

  • The ascent of Mount Epomeo, for those feeling of walking round-1.ora 1.30 to return is an experience not to be missed, tour to do possibly in a peaceful sunny day. You arrive by bus CD (it comes back with CS completing round the island) to Fontana Center, then walk, a first stretch of paved road, then a path is not always easy, take a stick and proper footwear. In the latest Rocky stretch where you reach the peak there is a passage slippery quite dangerous, as exposed on the void, takes a lot of attention, administration of tourism should provide it with a safety handrail, so proceed with more peace of mind, the view from the Summit is a spectacular and suggestive at 360° over the island and surrounding islands to the Amalfi coast. Near the peak there is a shelter-Restaurant with a decent kitchen, sitting at the table, they continue to be captivated by the scenery. I felt that whoever did the descent from Mount Epomeo directly in Casamicciola. says that the trail is quite unpleasant, undesirable to non-experts. for this reason, think before you venture out. Total cost of the Tour 2.40 €
