  • Porto Flavia is a mining site of Sulcis-Iglesiente, a beauty and an important cultural and historical interest. It served as a Port x ore loading and the view from up there is to take your breath away. Council to any traveler to visit absolutely, you will be fascinated.

  • Really a lovely venue steeped in history suitable for adults and children. Don't miss it if you happen to be in the area during the summer (because no one understands until continue openings with guided tours of the site, given the crisis management).

  • Designed by Cesare Vecelli, who gave him the name of the eldest child was built in 1929. Overlapping tunnels were dug into the mountain overlooking the sea. From the top one reaching the material and transported with carriages was thrown in the nine silos gallery below from where a conveyor belt was loaded directly onto ships. This system made you a lot of the Belgian company "Mountains" that hit much boarding costs. The plant was discharged after World War II, with the closure of the mines in the area. The guide during the trip which takes about one hour to explain us the life we had to support the miner mining techniques, etc., Eventually you get to the exit to the sea where you have the beautiful views of sugar loaf.
