  • Today 18 March, my wife and I visited this site of Montevecchio that represents a splendid example of mining and is part of the historical memory of those who live in this territory of middle Campidano. Our guide, Anna Rita, escorted us with competence and professionalism in four stages. A compelling description of the places visited, we did dip in the nineteenth century atmosphere of lifestyles of the rich mine owners and workers in different daily reality. Anna Rita storytelling has revived the workshop, carpentry, foundry and grounds of the presence of so many men and women who worked and suffered. A site really worth a visit.

  • We visited this mine on the feast of the Epiphany on the advice of a friend who had been years ago (thanks Shannon!), when it was still unknown. There are 4 routes, all interesting, all useful to know the reality of this historic mining compendium. A smart and well done site, demonstrating that Sardinia is not only sea and not only in summer but also nature, history and culture all year round. Visit remarkable thanks to the excellent conduction of Anna Rita Guide, well prepared and engaging, able to keep vigilant of our diverse group during the 4 paths. Go visit it!

  • Recommended visit to all in order to know a symbol of industrial work and mining of a recent historical period. The facilities are still in good condition and can be visited with a guide, very helpful and prepared. No need to book but you should call before you could see how somegirls could Mine and its various historical places are not always open. Shame about the apparent State of semi abandonment.

  • On-site fault anything, the real problem emerges when you must make tickets: only one attendant, that for every person who buys the tickets, sketched a real seminar, monologues that unmatched to Giorgio Gaber, creating code kilometers (between the more difficult to understand the meaning of the code, since there are those who arrive first, then changes his mind, returns, and so on) and testicular torsion to those waiting their turn. In addition, the concept of punctuality of guide leaves a lot to be desired, it was for anything other than stay to sizzle in the Sun isn't exactly the best.

  • Beautiful mining site. Many machines are still intact and you can see them within the same premises where before they were used. A bit confusing. You have to go first to the village of Montevecchio and get tickets, then go to the entrance of the chosen route down to the extraction site

  • An unforgettable visit! Technically an immersion into the world of mines, a task now disused but impressive on an emotional level. From a human point of view a weeping old, full of sacrifices, privation, poverty, masked by an apparent availability of livelihood. Unspeakable impression and the bitter taste that I try again after some time Recalling the dwellings "on time" of the families of the miners

  • Good guided tour, pity that the site could not be enhanced and maintained in good condition
