  • Starting from the Park adventures of Piana delle Mele, you follow a path well marked and almost always in the shade of pine and beech woods Majella. During the climb, don't miss a couple of views of the Valley with breathtaking views. After about half an hour you will encounter a alpine hut and you can make a quick stop in picnic area equipped. Continuing on, after another half hour you will encounter the ruins of an ancient Church rupestre (few stones ...) and continuing into the Woods along a path almost entirely comfortable (salts come down, except for a brief passage on rock equipped with ropes) and little challenging, you come in sight of the waterfall, a spectacular waterfall that flows just above and ends several tens of metres below, in a collection pond accessible via a path which is difficult and slippery (lifts even more challenging). If you are practical and well equipped, better reach a cave located just behind the waterfall and from where you can enjoy a magnificent view (attention to a protruding rock and potentially unsafe!). For the return, you can choose to close the loop route going towards Bocca di Valle (if you have someone with the car to return to Piana delle Mele), or go back to the same path is made climb. Nice hiking trail in the National Park, suited to those not trained. Recommended!

  • We made a trek from the fountain of BoccaDiValle, we went fairly smoothly despite a few steep climbs for 1 hour and half until you get to the waterfall of SanGiovanni; then we continued to climb at times severe and started then the long descending the top to go with caution given the bottom awkward passing through the ValleDelleMonache and the PianaDelleMele to close the ring returned to the starting point for a total about 3hrs and half covering just over 7 km with a vertical drop of nearly 400 meters. It was a nice little hike and along the way you can admire many plants and trees of the mixed forest. Not quite a walk but it is absolutely feasible to every person in good physical health and is certainly deserving. If it's doable independently with a little practice with the paths that are fairly well marked; us being outside the area we contacted with whatsapp a talented Guide, Luke, found randomly on the site camminareinabruzzo that for a small fee made the trip much more interesting thanks to the numerous information and curiosity about Majella and who populates it. At the end of route guidance for refreshments at 200mt a cheap bar trattoria, Campbell, from the incredible price and quality ratio. Recommended to all lovers of nature and walking in the mountains.

  • We left Sunday, 06.30 a.m. from Pescara, 08.10.2017 to the mouth of the Valley from where the path, i.e. to the left of Navy War Memorial Grotto (which I recommend to visit ... a window open to the view of the sea). first part is very well maintained with fake trail profido, I think pietro Majella. the path to follow is the F2, clearly signposted on trees and signs of C.A.I. in various parts of the path. average easy trail, very steep in some places, but soon after found easy and flat, 80% of the route is accompanied by the sound of the flowing stream for half on our left, to a crossing that will bring us, in the last part to have it on our right. Trail well maintained except for fallen trees during winter snowfalls 2017, which evidently were not reclaimed last spring, however do not create disturbances. a suggestion, is that once you get to the waterfall, about an hour from bocca di valle, is that to go back is nice to take the ring back to the junction where there is a sign at the intersection with the trail from Pian delle mele, at the same crossroads you may d make your decision, if you have some time and legs to walk another hour or so, to travel to the remains of the Hermitage of San Giovanni to pian delle mele, otherwise follow the signs (always trail F2) towards the mouth of the Valley; you go to the Woods and it's good to note the various types of flora in the Bush, descending to the water fountain on the left side of the entrance of the trail. small note: If you park near the bar at bocca di valle after the Naval War Memorial on the right, you can stumble across two white cats pezzati ... the aforesaid feline drove us for all the trail (10 km/3.5 hour hike) bringing us to the bar. asking the owner told us that sometimes in a day can also be used for 2/3.
