  • The Castle almost completely restored and can be visited free of charge within the central courtyard where a road that allows to circumnavigate around the inside perimeter of the castle walls offering beautiful views over the green landscape. Along the way there are shops selling local food specialties and also a nice restaurant. It's a visit for families with children and who does not have too many problems for a walk.

  • Nice and friendly country. The only con on Saturday, the castle is not open to the public, only on holidays. It doesn't seem right, especially in the summer. We had lunch in the restaurant La cocotte, we had a good, friendly people and good prices, give it a try.

  • Fairy place close to Milan, the castle of Gropparello is a real gem in the province of Piacenza. Myself, my partner and my little we organized a day trip and took part in a guided tour of the castle in costume: what can I say, awesome! The costumed characters guided us along the rooms and the secrets of the castle with great sympathy and being able to enchant my baby! Don't miss the breathtaking views from the top of the Castle! For lunch you can have large green areas or tables; Alternatively you can have lunch at the tavern of the Castle. Big order and cleanliness everywhere, in short: highly recommended! Added value: the influx of tourists is not overwhelming and this makes it possible to enjoy the sights and enchanting atmospheres in perfect peace
