  • Truly a beautiful castle! It's nicer than the indoor outdoor anyway! Just admire it from the outside with the vineyards and enjoy the scenery, never mind get in my opinion! Beautiful

  • Imposing fortress at the top of a hill, it belonged to the count of Cavour, one of the founders of the Italy in 1860, it is a rectangular building with a large Tower, angles have turrets, a park surrounds the Castle, from here views panoramic on the hills and vineyards of the Langhe, a Museum and a wine shop that offers a fine selection of wines inside

  • The castle is restored to perfection and is still used for various activities: offers the venue for a rather luxurious restaurant, a coffee shop and wine produced in the area and a museum dedicated to the history and culinary delights of the area (wine and truffles in particular). What is most striking is the misty hills landscape at sunset, not to be missed.

  • A must attraction when you visit Piemonte. And enjoy great wine tasting.
  • Marc Lanteri al ristorante Al Castello di Grinzane. We ate here two nights in a row and had two very different experiences. On the first night the food and service was only average while on the second everything was pretty much perfect. I guess anyone can have a bad day at the office. Stand out dishes came from the primi section of the menu - gnocchi stuffed with buffalo mozzarella which came with scampi and red shrimp and a daily special of pasta stuffed with goats cheese topped with shaved black truffle. Try to make sure you leave some room for cheese - which is served before the dessert as it should be 😀. We shared a plate made up of 6 different local cheeses, in variety of styles, which was sublime. As you would expect the wine list reads like war and peace - all the big names and vintages along with some lesser known and more wallet friendly choices. My top tip to get the most out of the lovely dining room would be to request a table which has been set up to enable you to enjoy the stunning views (I found it surprising that lots of the tables are laid up so you have your back to the windows). Highly recommended (on a good night).
  • Vista sui vigneti incantevole, castello bellissimo. Una tappa immancabile
  • OK castle but there are many of these. There was a nice exposition on the influence of the original owner on viniculture in Italy. The objects in display where rather boring.
  • Nice panoramic view. Plenty of parking.
