  • Main square of Imola. Cobblestone streets. There are bars, shops and a Church around. Square meeting place for local events

  • Greve in Chianti, we came to visit. Really impressive market square with all arcades and the small shops to visit
    View original
  • This original square is triangular. In Greve we started our first contact with the classic CHIANTI, its wine known worldwide. And Greve is the unofficial capital of the Chianti. Arriving at the square, next to the Town Hall, you find yourself with a statue of a large "Gallo Nero", the black cock that always appears in the original seal, which certifies that the wine is Chianti. The triangular shape of the square houses the form with its arcades full of restaurants, wines, souvenirs, cesterías, florists and the famous deli "Antica Macelleria Fallorni", no. 71, with its wild boar stuffed flanking the door, and where to enter to provide endless Tuscan salami, prosciutto, etc. Here a market is held every Saturday, and also there is always a carriage with horses that £ 2 village runs in full and will delight the children. To give you more data, at the end of the plaza of Santa Croce Church can be seen. And just to your right (Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, 2) is the small Trattoria "Pizza et bottega" with some delicious pizzas for carry. In that street, but at the height of number 10, is the Pasticeria "Il Golosi", already for end of sweeten the day!
