  • Akvilejskih Cathedral the archbishops who escaped here on Twilight of the Western Roman Empire, the Lombards seized from Aquileia and enshrined here its Patriarchs, survived until our days almost in its original form is largely due to the fact that simply no one was his remodel: Patriarchs of Grado were busy fighting the Patriarchs of Aquileia, then does moved to Venice. So we can see today the Paleochristian mosaics, frescoes and ancient columns, migrated here from different abandoned Roman ruins. Bell Tower of the Basilica-main city landmark and cloister behind the Basilica (don't miss!)-relaxing garden with late Antiquity a Lapidarium.

  • Shame really can't admire the beauty of why half of the basilica was covered by towels for the restoration. Spectacular floor mosaics, still very good the Church's Visual collection. Well worth the visit
