  • A very large collection of birds of prey display their skills daily at 17:30, but they can be seen any time of the day in their cages, or on their perches, sunbathing or retreating in the shade. They ...  more »
  • We arrived at the castle of gradara a Monday afternoon finding unfortunately the rocca closed. We then walked to the theater of the air but unfortunately on Monday also here no shows, however it was possible to visit the Park. At the ticket office there was none but a clear sign said that it would be possible to make a ticket directly into the Park. In fact once greeted a girl with a hawk in the arm and after paying the ticket of €4 each, we approached the first cages where a Raptor was consuming her meal. Then we turn around and we became aware of the presence of numerous birds in plain sight, each on its own perch but incredibly out of the cages!!! It was incredible to see such rare and majestic species up close. Perhaps the only note that we did a bit of sadness is the idea of seeing them close, but information panels explained that is part of the training and are used as well. In any case, we were told that even in the wild spend so much of their time. Soon after, since the arena was not expected no sight, we were able to watch the training "behind closed doors" of a Hawk and it was exciting to see this animal still inexperienced learn to return to his arm. We continued towards the latest cages where we met the cutest Owl of the Park!

  • Unique place a zoo of raptors only in Italy. The spectacle of falconers is exciting and spectacular, to visit without a shadow of a doubt.

  • Falconry show really gorgeous. The staff is knowledgeable, personable and friendly. The animals are beautiful. Too bad that the show does not coincide with the times of the train that brings people to Catholicism. If you don't want to walk back, to take the train, we must unfortunately come out before the end of the show.

  • Super recommended to fans of nature, both children and adults, but also to those who are more suspicious: the owner, Massimo, is one of the greatest experts in the field and will make you excite no doubt, telling you about the history, the secrets and the current use (you didn't know?) of an ancient discipline, falconry. The air theater belongs to a network of other world centers for the preservation of many species of birds of prey: Eagles of various species (including the largest specimen in the world at present), falcons of all kinds from every corner of the world, vultures, owls, tawny owls, Siberia ... and the show that takes place in the afternoon or on some evenings (call for schedule) makes them fly (free!) almost everyone! A beautiful example of harmony between man and animal:)
