  • Beautiful hike that brought us not only to enjoy mountain landscapes of undeniable beauty, but also to discover a place of great historical interest. It is nice to see how the locals have been able to exploit and disseminate a piece of local history tied to work hard and sacrifice like that of the miners. Thanks for the informative experience.

  • First Sunday of September, 6-year-old son myself and my husband went to Day for this wonderful trip to the Ecomuseum of Gorno and at old mines of Costa Jels. All very well organized you pay € 8 adults for a guided tour with explanations to the Museum for about an hour or so and then moving by car (10 minutes drive) to the mines. The guides are all volunteers with an overwhelming passion, some are children or relatives of miners. Inside the mines, the temperature is about 8/10 degrees with a humidity of 80% cover because it's chilly, I recommend hiking boots or sneakers, the path is quite long but not hard fact is so interesting that wouldn't quit. At the end of the trail offer everybody a good hot tea or coffee with biscuits. We also had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman who worked at the mines in his youth and asked him a lot of things, we were enthralled by the stories and we brought home lots of emotions. I congratulate all volunteers because they are great! I would recommend this tour to everyone young and old to realize the life carrying miners and to enjoy the beauty of our mountains.

  • Gloomy day, what better way to take shelter in a cave, although artificial, rather than in a mall, which has so much to explode. Tour in the company of children and other family, but in the parking lot to hangout we find other 30 people; Let us start then with the pay (8 euros adults), children free, if small and enter the mining museum where the folks, they explain the history, tools and illustrations that characterized the work in the mines in a truly competent, we conclude then round with two vintage footage, which showed the real working conditions. Then everyone in the car to the entrance of the mine at about 10 minutes by road and in small separate groups we enter for visiting (important the internal temperature is always by 8-10 degrees cover). What is certain is that seeing live tools, the work accomplished, along with explanations of how this took place, leaving only partially perceive how hard was this craft as well as the dangers attached to it, listen in this context the emphatic terms of the miner, with suffused light of carbide lamps, more impressive than the imagination. Thanks to the guides who were able to involve both children and adults, responding efficiently to questions and that they didn't know the history of Miner Vahdani that.................................................... If you want to know all you have to do is go to Gorno.

  • Nice visit to a former factory now Museum with findings and evidence of the life of the miners until a few decades ago. Run by volunteers who manage to remain vigilant and to propose a guided tour especially interesting for children.
