  • If what you want is to visit Genoa in a day, as it was my case, I do not recommend it. Worth a walk by the city, its majestic Harbour, its Cathedral, its environment. It is a private palace belonging to the descendants of the Admiral Andrea Doria. Teach you the gardens, some rooms with stunning tapestries and other rooms open to the public. I only recommend it for tourists spend more than two days in the city, and them above a bit of time.

  • The villa is located next to the train station and the metro principle, enclosed in the urban activity, but it is a haven of peace (at least in this cold morning of February). The Andrea Doria Palace offers a quite remarkable together with murals, ceilings, tapestries (including those that trace the naval battle of Lepanto), sculptures,... The garden is also beautiful, while the other palaces have not or small. Overall is very nice. The Card Musei is accepted, only pay is the entrance to the private apartments (not always open to the public) and must pay a slight right to take pictures, documentation in french well details the different parts of the visit, it is given to the entry and must be returned to the output (the translation is good, there are a few "crepuscular" remaining and a page in English by mistake). This is the Palace that I was most interested in Genoa.

  • On 06/02/18 our class went to the Palace for a guided tour. Just arrived we had a very pleasant with a guide prepared and available. We were very impressed:-the position of the building-the garden-tapestries and furnishings but highly recommended a visit!

  • I went there for work purposes...and it blew my mind! Such antiquity! Such beauty...summertime has to be amazing! But the winter chill made it cosy. I imagine lighting a fire im those huge fire places and drinking a cognac. Its also a beautiful venur for may events
  • Beautiful gardens, quite a hidden treasure
  • Bella villa and garden of Doria. Comprehensive explanation about the history of villa exhibited in every room. Annoying though the surcharges, besides the entrance fee (9 euros) to pay well 4 euros more to take pictures inside and other more dollars to be able to see the rooms of Princess.

  • You start with an enchanting garden to get to the suggestions of the beautiful Loggia degli Eroi e della Sala dei Giganti. Not to be missed.

  • Amazing the garden despite the elevated train, with ships in the background. Beautiful building that shows the power of the Republic of Genoa and especially the wealth of Doria. Amazing that the private apartment is still used today "by the Princess when it switches from Genoa"
