4.7/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web
In the historic heart of Genoa, Via Garibaldi is one of the more ornate and grandiose streets in all of Italy, complete with stonework and vivid colors. Sixteenth- through 18th-century palaces with hidden courtyards and gardens line the 250 m (820 ft) long road. While some of these palazzos are private property, you can visit the ones with museums, galleries, and civil organizations. Antique shops and gift stores also dot the street. • A very pretty Street in the historic centre of Genoa. Going along this street as if in the Renaissance: around the palaces with stunning architecture. On the facades of stucco, window-Venetian and Florentine styles, courtyards, gardens, fountains and sculpture gardens. An entire street can be completed in 3 minutes, but not so fast. Better to stay in front of every house and imagine that you are in 14 or 15-th century.

  • This street you recommend any guides to Genoa. But, honestly, the city has other places of interest. We even did not immediately realize that ended up on the street. And palaces (Ross, Bianca and so on) that appear in guidebooks, not so majestically look. Primarily because the lane very narrow. Make a photo here is problematic, frankly. I liked the Genoa in General, via Garibaldi-part of it, but not the most beautiful, in my opinion.

  • Probably the most important historical street of the city, home of beautiful palaces Rolli, all covered in any case if you are on vacation in Genoa or if you live in it.

  • The historical "Golden Street ", because of the presence of the richest buildings of the town: Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Bianco...
  • Lovely experience. You can literally feel the history and greatness here. Well preserved stone palaces.
  • Street with monumental buildings. Get a guide or some kind of app to learn more about them.
  • This is the historical centre of Genoa. It is also a UNESCO world heritage site. The opulence of the rulers can be seen in the magnificent palaces in beautiful colors and voluptuous designs. Must visit
  • Emblematic street in Genova. Do not miss it
