  • little shop-Museum with memories of the Genoese singer-songwriter, primarily Fabrizo de Andrè with his beloved via del campo

  • Via del Campo is a cobbled Street, which intersects transversally caruggi (alleys) of Genoa's historic centre. Part of that kind of enclave that characterizes the old part of the city of Genoa. It is also known as the songwriters, celebrated in one of the most famous songs of Fabrizio De Andrè (set to music with Enzo Jannacci). Precisely for that reason in the street houses the Museum Via del Campo 29 red, the "House of the Genoese singer-songwriter", which takes its name from the street and the house number of the original shop where in the past the old record store and musical instruments "Music Gianni Nelly". Today the Museum belongs to the commune of Genoa who runs it is a benchmark for art and music, had to pay tribute to the music and not only. Returning to the street, drive means joining one of the historical areas of Genoa, visiting shops, typical taverns and maybe a little adventure. Although today is known and frequented by tourists has not lost its original appearance. Now is the road connecting link with the ancient porta dei Vacca, between the modern seafront of porto antico (recently renovated by Renzo Piano) and the adjacent via di Pré, ending in the Romanesque of the Commenda di San Giovanni di Pré. About half of the street opens piazza helicopter V, within which is located the infamous Column, built to remember the betrayal of Caesar Vachero that conspired against the Republic of Genoa. At the beginning of via del Campo, in the trivium pedestrianised piazza Fossatello opens via Lomellini, via which houses the birthplace of Giuseppe Mazzini, now houses the Museum of the Risorgimento and of the Mazzinian Institute. A journey not to be missed and a place to visit, although the story of Faber is in his songs.

  • I see my picture in the beginning of 2000 with Gianni Tassio near Esteve Fabrizio De Andrè 97 and think back to the last time shortly before closing the store by the widow of Nelly in 2009 and I decide to go: Yes, by 2012 this space is open, but never managed to get more, from myth to institutionality pace was too big for those who as the undersigned agrees to live in obstinate and contrary direction. Instead, usually the difference between the spin in the shop of Tassio between an heirloom and albums sale was something else, I find it useful and valuable this corner of via del Campo who remembers the Ligurian songwriters by birth and by adoption, I'm glad to hear the songs of Faber, trovobello see young couples who bring their children in the midst of a world that , love it or hate it, it's gone. As someone has noted the space is skimpy, things are not so many, but I was pleased this little storage space, some come from Nelly and scambiarfe chat with him was another thing, but I find it commendable that you bring along a nice piece of ' 900 music and a small part of the soundtrack of the Genoese spirit. If you go to old town or maybe you're in Genoa for the canonical visit to the Aquarium, get a jump around here, to me the heart has warmed up yet.
