  • Small church located in piazza Banchi, in the alleyways of the West yet close to porto antico (behind palazzo s. Giorgio). It is not immediately recognizable as the cupola and the 2 towers are preceded by a curious façade similar in all of a building; you notice immediately, instead, the loggia dei mercanti and looking good you will see at the end of the staircase leading to the lodge, the entrance to the Church (today, in fact, the lodge is as if it were an integral part of the Church, constituting the churchyard). We recommend a short visit: the Church is usually kept open by volunteers and the small single nave interior is very pleasant: bright, with statues, paintings and use many fillers; There is also a notable wooden crucifix and canvas (poor Bill instead the plaster statue of Jesus without the hands, present on the right as you enter). The low influx of tourists and the characteristics of the Church also allow a pause of spiritual type, for a moment of meditation or prayer. An unusual feature is the construction of the sacred edifice above the communes shops, which in the past contributed to the construction of the Church.

  • It is a church located in the square, located near Porto Antico. Residences and theatres, such as stairs and extends to the front façade is interesting. Kiosk stand besides the square and filled in an open-air tent, including the folksy atmosphere.

  • This is right in the middle of old things to do in a small church, you see, because it is not necessarily an interesting structure

  • Very small but full of atmosphere and spirit. Beautifully implanted into the everyday life of the neighborhood.
  • Half church ⛪. Half shopping mall.
  • great place
  • Beautiful 16th-century frescoed church with Dome decorated by Marcello Sparzo da Urbino. One of the two religious works built by the Republic of Genoa (the other was the Cathedral), with the particular "base" with the workshops which were used to finance jobs

  • Nice, though small, but deserves to be visited.
