  • Small church near the old port, the intrigues, but the beauty is external inside with an unusual marble production.

  • Pretty elevated Church at the top of small shops in the middle of a square lined with magnificent palaces. Beautiful facades painted, pretty grids but not always possible to get...

  • We heard two versions of construction of San Pietro in Banchi! First: the existing building of the 16th century wondering what architect Bernardino Canton applied so-called self-funding — at the base of the Church placed space for lease dealers. Due to this church and got its name. These shopping areas we saw with their own eyes now. Second: the banks were the big showdown between rich Lomellini, who wanted this place to arrange regular stalls and simple townspeople, who vowed after the next plague to erect a church here. In the end we came to a mutual compromise, giving under the lower floors and benches at the top, bequeathed to the church building. Very beautiful inside and outside the Church. Notable because it is a statue of Jesus Christ without arms. We in the Church at that time were the only visitors and came to us clergyman to asked: How do we!? To know that we are from Russia, a servant (an old man) perked up, then apologizing asked: do we know English, German or French!))) The fact is that the church history brochures were only in those languages. Received in English! It was very nice!))))

  • Very small but full of atmosphere and spirit. Beautifully implanted into the everyday life of the neighborhood.
  • Half church ⛪. Half shopping mall.
  • great place
  • Genovese spirit Church. Passing from Genoa you have to give a look at the small church of San Pietro in banks, in the square where once stood the "market stalls" and where today there is a church with under businesses, testimony to the city's commercial heart. Around the church there is the square of the same name, here once there were the stalls of merchants, and still there are sellers. from the square you can also admire the lodge (new market) now houses exhibitions and events. From there, you can reach the Marina and the alleyways.
