  • Also this square is historic because it was the largest of the past. Today it is home to some locals and is reached by a new underground stations. Close to the Faculty of architecture.

  • One of the biggest in the historical center of Genoa and the only true piazza inside the walls during the middle ages. You can get there by several parties as explained in previous posts. On the square facing the Museum of Sant'Agostino, chiesa di San Salvatore in Sarzano, proceeding with the crossing with the street of Saint Augustine is the Faculty of architecture and there is also the well covered by hexagonal surmounted by the bust of Janus. Around there are several cafes and unfortunately also a parking for cars. Let us a ride

  • The square accessible by metro to the station was the largest medieval town square where markets were held, cavallerischi and tournaments where they passed the processions of casacce. On the square facing the entrance to the Museum of Sant'Agostino with its wonderful cloister, the structure of the University of architecture and the Church of San Salvatore University auditorium today. East side is a kiosk hexagonal Colonnade topped by the bust of Janus. The well below at one time drew water from a basin fed by the aqueduct. Close to the square you will find many interesting areas of the historical centre such as Campopisano, the Church of s. Maria di Castello, medieval gates or climb the Basilica di Carignano.
