  • Living in Tigullio often goes to Genoa for purchases, visit exhibitions, leisure or just to walk around in a nice town. This square always attracts and stimulates to stay always a half an hour.

  • The square, dedicated to Raffaele De Ferrari, Duke of Galliera, politician and banker, is part of the pier. with the Palazzo della Regione Liguria on the left and right of the sixteenth century Ducal Palace Built in the first two decades of the twentieth century, obtained from the excavation of the Hill of s. Andrea, all surrounded by huge neoclassical buildings constructed in the first half of the nineteenth century by Carlo Barabino. A side in what was the ancient San Domenico square stands the teatro Carlo Felice (1827) and the palazzo dell'Accademia Ligustica (1831). In front of the theatre is the equestrian statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi, the sculptor Augusto Rivalta (1893). In the middle of the square from 1936 is the large bronze fountain, designed by the architect Giuseppe Crosa di Vergagni and soon became, together with the Lantern, one of the main symbols citizens.

  • Best plaza in the city. Nice place to sit down and relax.
  • Neuralgic as well as geographical center of Genova, middle point between the historical center (vicoli) and the more commercial center (xx September/ foce). And too, a beautiful square with the most iconic fountain in Genova.
  • "Lovely and free" My husband and I stayed a entire day walking around the Piazza Ferrari and neighborhood. It is a good place for shopping or just spend time. A very good point to visit around
  • That's 100% the center of the city, and it is really nice. However, don't bother to go there by purpose, you would end up in Piazza De Ferrari anyway while you go around.
  • A very nice fountain near a very large intersection with tons of traffic and people. Fountain and architecture were beautiful, the hecklers trying to sell you things by saying they are 'free' not so much. Otherwise well worth visiting as a tourist!
