Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi a Nervi, Genoa

(4.6/5 based on 2,000+ reviews on the web)
A 2 km (1.2 mi) seafront walkway cut into rocky cliffs, Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi a Nervi offers panoramic views of the sea. Stretching along a rugged part of the coastline, this popular waterfront promenade was built over an ancient footpath, once used almost exclusively by local fishermen and farmers. The promenade was constructed in two stages over the last decades of the 19th century, and is named after Anita Garibaldi, the Brazilian-born wife and comrade-in-arms of revolutionary Giuseppe Garibaldi. Use this walkway to access a 16th-century tower, once an important part of an extensive coastal defense system, now one of the region’s most recognizable symbols. • Let me start by saying that these places have great sentimental value for me. Yet recommend the walk of nerves to all those who want to visit Genoa. Only fifteen to twenty minutes by train from the city, or by car with convenient but expensive parking, is also ideal for people who have been to Genoa but could not go to the Riviera, in the beautiful Cinque Terre. But I think the concept-and beauty-that most famous towns like those can be expressed also in Nervi: Sun, sea, wild rocks. At the end of the walk, a small pebble beach. Or, you can go through the equally beautiful Nervi Park, close to the promenade and connected in several places with this. Nerves is a magical place where, not far from the city, you can really breathe the sea and greenery, is something really therapeutic. And the smell of the sea and the green of nerves don't find anywhere else. This is a holiday resort, but also by fishermen (from the other end of the walk, from the citizen, there are some homes and a Marina). The atmosphere is special, along the promenade there are seafood restaurants and gelateria ice cream and slush Miramare which is simply beautiful.

  • The place is unique and wonderful, the potential is huge, but unfortunately the views is distracted from the pavement full of bumps and memories left by innocent dogs taken a walk from uncivilized masters.

  • a lung with a lot of green to be preserved to offer living from play to see to laugh ... Especially if you want to paint.

  • A gorgeous alley just above the sea. Perfect for pedestrians and for romantic walks, especially at sunset
  • One of the best spot in Genova. In every season you can find new perspective, new colors and new sea view.
  • Wonderful promenade along the sea ( 4kms long ). If you come at Genova, you can't miss it.
  • One of the nicest sea walks in the world:-) done brilliant
  • Beautiful breathtaking, historical sea walk in Genoa. Adjacent to the parks of Nervi enjoys a unique microclimate that makes it ideal for all seasons. To be appreciated by eating a piece of freshly baked focaccia.
