  • I went there with family on the afternoon of August and, compared to the situation besetting the Park many years ago, I have to say it's completely reborn! I honestly don't know if it's really the most beautiful public park in Italy of 2017, but today the Park of Villa Durazzo Pallavicini is wonderful! With a distance of approximately 2-3 hours, almost completely in the shade, allows you to discover plants and almost magical landscapes in the heart of the city. More comfortable from Genova Pegli, really next door. Just wish that day the Museum housed in the Villa was closed. Honestly I was positively surprised even the bathrooms: well renovated and clean! Almost a miracle nowadays ...

  • Visit pleasant for about three hours. The Park is a journey to discover the magical atmosphere and if you take the time to read the various descriptions of the places you can taste even better. I also recommend stopping for lunch at the bistro House of Doves: great pie!

  • The Park offers a guided tour of about two hours divided into thematic areas. It's a walk of almost three kilometres with explanatory signs of attractions that you will encounter. The Park is full of local and exotic plants. The only drawback is the proximity of the motorway and the scenery certainly different from the 19th century when the Park was created. A tip to make the trip even more enjoyable is to reach Voltri by boat from porto antico in Genoa

  • Stunning romantic garden, with beautiful plants (also exotic ones) and architecture. The route takes about two hours if one stops to read signs and take pictures, and it tells a sort of story divided in a prologue, three acts and an epilogue. A guided tour takes place only on selected days.
  • Very aesthetic and generally well planed, but there was a drought when we visited so most of the water themed attractions didn't look as good. But otherwise beautiful garden.
  • Poorly maintained, but incredible original idea.
  • Love it
  • Breathtaking

Where to stay in Genoa

Located just steps from the city's famous tourist sites, Genoa's centrally located B&Bs and hotels offer comfortable lodgings suitable for all tastes and budgets. To avoid the expense and stress of driving and parking in Genoa's central districts, look for a boutique hotel just outside the city center. Staying out of the busy heart of Genoa is a practical and affordable compromise, offering a good base for exploring numerous fishing villages located along the coastline. Hostels operating in residential areas also offer private parking and easy access to buses into the center of town.
