Parchi di Nervi, Genoa

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web
A sprawling seaside oasis, Parchi di Nervi is a complex of many parks that once belonged to private villas, but are now united and publicly accessible. Relax on the grass and enjoy a picnic, stroll the seaside promenade, or wander the rose garden. Though their presence has caused great controversy, squirrels populate the gardens in great numbers and are friendlier than most. Visit the old villas: many have been transformed into museums, including the Gallery of Modern Art and the Wolfsoniana, which is mainly dedicated to the Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles. • a time trouble to trample the flower beds now there is pure anarchy and, of course, the site suffers but remain hopeful thinking at the rose garden that may again own light shine with all varieties of roses in it and then remain the demonstrations that took place inside the parks: outdoor cinema and especially the INTERNATIONAL BALLET world famous. I wonder if they will come back ... ... ... ... would make an excellent calling card for tourists who once filled the outdoor theaters.

  • The gardeners of Genoa municipality are known and loved for their bravery. The Park, which is a tremendous air of sea green and rich of trees and rare, of meadows and ... squirrels arriving to take his hands hazelnuts, for the happiness of children. Lies between the Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi, spectacular, traveling from the port of nerves and comes down to the Park and via Capolungo. A beautiful green lung, full of trees and rare trees. Is priceless walk the peaceful paths, surrounded by greenery and have sea views as far as the eye. The Park is quite large and has three main entrances, to the South by viale della stazione, where a spacious car park, the only one in the area, prevents anxiety, or North from via Capolungo, or by another entrance to the East, near the junction with the Aurelia. Once home of the legendary "Ballets of nerves" now makes up for in some way to their absence with Villa Grimaldi, the splendid seat of GAM, the modern art gallery, while down the passeggiata Anita Garibaldi, there is Villa Luxoro, a 19th century villa, intact that the last owners fled to the municipality. Highly recommended a full immersion

  • Fantastic place to come at ease after visiting Genoa. Peace and quiet all over the place. Stay away in weekends and on public holidays however, especially when you have a car to park. If you're not very early you won't succeed and you end up in a jam at the car park of the Genoa Nervi railwaystation.
  • Wonderful place with a lot of green&blue!
  • Simply the best park in town. Wonderful.
  • A very nice and big park, with lots of old and big trees.
  • Un must!
