  • We from Raffaele De Ferrari descend past the Teatro Carlo Felice to the arrow Via XXV Aprile and Via Roma. Take a right on Via Roma, passing rassmatrivaem boutiques of famous brands, Galleria Giuseppe Mazzini and short Piazza Corvetto find left this architectural construction-Palazzo Doria Spinola (built with 1541 to 1543). The external architecture of the Palace it is the main entrance with flags on balconies, marble portal with twin columns and figures of Esquires (~ 17th century) and frescoes of the façade (~ 16th century, renovated in the year 2001). The courtyard didn't hit, we didn't put karabiner, said we understood what kind of like a siesta (afternoon). The only thing left to admire Ancient frescos and marble figurines on the façade of the Palace and move to Piazza Corvetto for gelato!))))

  • It is one of the many palazzi dei Rolli which lie scattered in various locations in the Centre, and of course focused on Via Garibaldi. Located on via Roma, between piazza De Ferrari and piazza Corvetto, shortly before arriving at the latter. Hosts the Prefecture, so cannot normally be visited as it deserves, aside from special occasions of Rolli Days (which, for those who don't live in Genoa and surrounding areas, requires an ad hoc travel in advance) or in conjunction with exhibitions/conferences exciting moment. In any case, even outside of these occasions, a partial examination you can always admire, entrance hall, inner courtyard, staircase and first floor loggia.

  • Although we had not stayed in this Palace of Genoa. On the occasion of the Rolli days the Palace was open to visitors with the explanation given by a talented Guide. Really wonderful Palace, the frescoes with maps of some Italian cities on the porch are beautiful. Really recommend a visit!

Where to stay in Genoa

Located just steps from the city's famous tourist sites, Genoa's centrally located B&Bs and hotels offer comfortable lodgings suitable for all tastes and budgets. To avoid the expense and stress of driving and parking in Genoa's central districts, look for a boutique hotel just outside the city center. Staying out of the busy heart of Genoa is a practical and affordable compromise, offering a good base for exploring numerous fishing villages located along the coastline. Hostels operating in residential areas also offer private parking and easy access to buses into the center of town.
