  • Taking advantage of the rainy day we visited the Museum of Sant'Agostino. What wonder there occurred!! A beautiful Museum redesigned years ago with wonderful items ranging from statues of the old convent of Saint Augustine at our Lady of many newsstands of old Genoa, capitals, columns, sovraporta, a wealth of incredible content. Objects from various foreign countries that traded with cities and pictures and much more. A precious casket that reflects the skill of the Genoese in collecting and exhibiting with particular detail historical artifacts that tell the art of the city. An invitation to all those who share this passion for beauty!

  • Not many know that the Madonnine that were in the old town for security reasons and to protect them from the elements were replaced with copies and brought here. In the Museum there are interesting pieces like the funerary monument to Margaret of Brabant and others from churches destroyed mostly parts of capitals to whom I paid little attention. At the entrance, however, comes a guide called the Museum in an hour, where are reported the most valuable pieces in the Museum for a visit less thorough.

  • The Museum is located in an exceptionally attractive place, but is very poorly maintained. The material (extraordinary) seems stacked without a policy. The staff seem to be there by chance and the biggest concern seems to be to leave the bags of visitors at the entrance. Why??? The Uffizi are entered with a backpack! There is a beautiful cloister but, for heaven's sake, the entrance is forbidden to visitors. Why??? Last summer I made a visit in the afternoon, the heat was stifling and had not yet opened some rooms and turned the lights on the top floor. Hopefully someone to exploit this gem!
