  • On the occasion of the Rolli Days I had chanced to visit this splendid building that, despite living in Genoa, I am ashamed to admit that he had never visited before. Absolutely has nothing to envy to the Royal palaces of other cities or capitals. I didn't give it 5 stars because some small details in need of restoration, but all in all, I highly recommend a visit! Nice, A DISCOVERY INASPETTATTA! :-)

  • Beautiful, rich in works of great value. Maybe could do with more care. Staff friendly and helpful.

  • We came to Genoa by chance during the weekend dedicated to Rolli Days, so we took the opportunity to visit some famous historical buildings, today a UNESCO World Heritage site, including the Museum of the Royal Palace, whose entrance, for the occasion, it was also free. The modest building façade overlooking via Balbi tricks the visitor, who once remains amazed by the beauty and architectural elegance of this historic house, especially when viewed from the terrace located on the rear side, facing the sea. Stefano, a voluntary help of friends of museums, he described excellently the Interior rooms, furnishings, paintings, frescoes, tapestries and secrets of the Palace, built by Baldi, then acquired from Durres and finally by the Savoy, that this made it their Royal residence. This place is really interesting, because a true icon of the city.

  • wonderful roman architecture special attraction is Mural paintings on walls of roof
  • Smaller than you would imagine for a total palace. Not so grand on the outside as it is a city palace. But many surprises lie within.
  • Beuatiful rooms but no air con. Avoid in the summer!
  • All the rooms seem not to be well cared of. There are only very basic translations of the descriptions.
  • Beautiful palace!
