Access is not so complicated to find: just take the stairs located between the Santa Anna funicular and the Galeria N Bixio, climb the cobbled Street and, at the top, enter the Nice Park right (Villetta DiNegro); to the far right, to finish, we find the entrance - but you can also get to the other side! The collections are interesting, it's true that they consist essentially of Japanese parts, but Chinese art is also present. It will include: armor of Samurai, netsuke, teapots, incense burners, porcelain.. .and especially of beautiful bronze statues. However, I have not seen (or not found) prints of the painters of the "floating world" (Ukiyo-e) yet mentioned in some guidebooks, there may be a rotation of the exhibits? Recommended. Entry in the Card Musei.View original -

First, it is not so easy to find the Museum, absence of appropriate signs. This is but actually not so bad, because the trail leads through a beautiful park. Although all sorts of interesting artifacts are exhibited in the museum itself, but the really exciting works by Hokusai and Hiroshige are not shown. Very bad!View original -

For years, study Japanese culture especially the religions entering and admiring the statues of buddha seems to welcome the visitor. Continuing on the path we can admire the pictures of the other deities (Bodhisattva) that belong to the Galaxy of Buddhist religion. You will notice the care of artifacts and their beauty, a real time travel. The wonder are the armor of the samurai and their weapons, a culture a story that affects and fascinates. I would like to say a few words on the Palace in typical Japanese style and the interior arrangement of the plans. In the end you are projected in the East in a minute, I highly recommend a visit, maybe with minimal study.View original

A great museum with stunning artifacts but if you're English speaking and interested in the historical background there is very little information and context available for English speaking visitors. Which was disappointing.
-
Wonderful museum that contains a huge collection of Japanese art objects and historical objects (swords, armours...). Very interesting. You have to enter from the "Valletta Di Negro" park (Piazza Corvetto)
