I recommend everyone Genoa, Genoa and not, this Museum, but first, read some history of Japan and China. Vincenzo Ricci went to China, after Marco Polo, and, Japan is a fascinating culture, have never been neither in China nor in Japan, and, in this Museum, ideally, you fly down there ... Bon voyage!

Japanese art enthusiast I was expecting to see. The Museum, as we know, collects the most important Japanese collection of Italy, collected by the artist Cato who found himself in the right place at the right time, when the feudal families wanted to get rid of their memorabilia. The collection is vast, but difficulties of conservation (lacquers and graphic works get ruined easily) only a small part is exposed, especially in the summer months. Special thanks to the Lady at the ticket counter, very kind and helpful.

in a beautiful building built with 70 years ' Japanese with a location on the slopes of the city, the Museum proposes elements of art and Japanese objects elegantly spread across seven balconies. Really very interesting.

  • Wonderful museum that contains a huge collection of Japanese art objects and historical objects (swords, armours...). Very interesting. You have to enter from the "Valletta Di Negro" park (Piazza Corvetto)
  • Avery nice museum, with lots of eastern art works.
  • Beautiful museum but even better view
  • great place
  • A very interesting Museum, immersed in a green area really nice. The most important Museum of Oriental art in Italy and among the most important in Europe. Too bad it's little known, little noticed and undervalued. Lately the Conservatory of music makes a few gigs inside this Museum, we hope that through music in this atmosphere impressive being exploited.
