  • Historian (1899) covered market in the Central via XX settembre seems to owe its name to the Eastern location of the city center rather than the similarities with a suk or to goods sold inside. Has a square plan with a central elevation below which there are bonded warehouses and cold rooms. Upon entering you will be inundated with colors and scents derived from the countless variety of properties for sale: bread and pasta, dried fruit, fruit and vegetables speziee admirably exposed, mushrooms, flowers and plants, meat, cheese and dairy, takeaways, fish, bread and focaccia, tripe, etc. Upstairs (ten steps) schools of footwear, fabrics, clothing, household goods etc. Great atmosphere thanks to the sellers that invite customers to buy awesome-ing their wares. Among these some (few actually) trying to make crafty ... eye. Prices not dirt cheap but excellent quality. Let us for a ride.

  • Very interesting, indoor, lots of fruits and vegetables and meat but also many typical homemade products such as pesto, trofie, gnocchi, focaccia ... Medium-high prices but before heading home is worth a visit to take good memories of Genoa.

  • The complex itself is nice but nothing to do for example with Barcelona's la Boqueria market. In fact it's not a tourist market. Quite expensive in prices is just very convenient being downtown in via xx settembre.

  • If you want top quality organic products this is the place to go! Very colorful and crowded at times, usually the morning is better than the afternoon also concerning the offer.
  • Great local market with fresh fruit, vegetables and regional products. Worth visiting when you're around.
  • Fresh fish, vegetables and fruits in the middle of the shopping district.
  • Great selection of foods and stuff. Fresh and local. Also, one nice booth with draft wine. Recommend.
  • Best place to buy fresh food in genova
