  • Visit that could be free for all (adult: €3 /-18 years: free). Everything is in Italian only. The visit lasts only 5 minutes and presents only the building. A picture of the exterior is enough!

  • We went into the small house and had to pay for it. The house is really small with only one room to visit with a TV screen. No poor value  more »
  • The House is small but sums up well the architecture of the time in this village where merchants manufactured and sold their materials. You imagine the life in the newspaper helped by lovely reconstruction made through the writings and images offered by the organization. Quick visit but seductive that starts the visitor to the atmosphere of the time. The second floor also has a table for meals with costumes and accessories of the time. From there the route should be completed with the path of the ancient walls of medieval gates that make dip significantly in the context of that time.

  • It's a nice little experience, and I would recommend it as maybe a quick stop if you're doing a tour through Genova. However it is quite small, and so definitely wouldn't make a day of it as slowly you'd get round in about 15/20 minutes. But worth seeing for the beautiful outside, and probably a better experience for those speaking Italian, although still accessible for those speaking English.
  • Don't bother get in. See it from the outside, it's enough. Then book a flight to Porto Santo, Madeira and check out his other, bigger, nicer house!
  • A small but iconic memorial to Christopher Columbus, a man who left his legacy to the world.
  • Had some difficulty finding the place as there's insufficient directions and signposts.Would have liked to have seen more of Columbus' possessions and artefacts inside his house which was virtually empty.Although met by a friendly 'guide'-ticket seller, there didn't appear to be an audio guide available. However, a video in one of the rooms (giving a brief history) was. Verdict: Despite the experience of being in Columbus' home, l was unfortunately disappointed.
  • The house of the endeavourer of America?? Wow, it must be amazing... So I thought. But it's really not worth 3€ entrance. You go in and you're almost out again. A look from the outside us fine enough

Located just steps from the city's famous tourist sites, Genoa's centrally located B&Bs and hotels offer comfortable lodgings suitable for all tastes and budgets. To avoid the expense and stress of driving and parking in Genoa's central districts, look for a boutique hotel just outside the city center. Staying out of the busy heart of Genoa is a practical and affordable compromise, offering a good base for exploring numerous fishing villages located along the coastline. Hostels operating in residential areas also offer private parking and easy access to buses into the center of town.
