  • We visited this place is our friends recommend fei nymphaeum. We did not imagine that a small country could hide similar treasures. Is a work of 1500 or so, on the lines of other nymphs well in other locations. Impressive place and deputies at the thought and reflection, today should make us reflect who should take care of it. In any case remains one of piùeccezionali and fascinating things that this visit gave us.

  • The nymphaeum of Bramante is a gem within Genazzano (really very pretty). A must see, however the only flaw is that it seems a bit abandoned to itself. During our visit we found a little of everything on the ground: cigarette butts, litter etc. Maybe because after several parties held right there in the old days.

  • History of the site can be attributed to Prospero Colonna, brother of the card. Giovanni Colonna, well-known humanist and Lord of Genazzano in late 15th century. The complex included a nymphaeum and a pond, characteristic are the portholes practiced on arches set on columns, but restoration. The studies attribute the authorship of the project to Bramante. Admission is free and on a clear day the garden front is really impressive.
