  • Two steps away from the Adriatic coast and surrounded by a protected reserve, the caves of Onferno offer opportunities for adults and children to be immersed in a fantastic underground world made of narrow and winding passages carved by nature, into a huge chunk of plaster, by sheer force of water and time. The visit is cleverly set adventure style, complete with helmet and torch, the guide prepared and kind will know to appreciate all the pleasure of exploration of the place and get to know many interesting aspects of the creatures that inhabit the caves, bats included. The caves are home to a colony of more than 6000 bats. Visit non-binding and recommended to all unless you're claustrophobic or have excessive fear of bats because remember that you will be guests in their home. Good scan

  • Pleasant alternative to the sea ... a fun way to learn (and appreciate) the bats. You rarely meet the guides thus prepared and kind.

  • Guided tour of the cost of €9 in this deep cave dug into the hillside, beneath a forest of Oaks. The path of 350 meters is doable, but narrow in some places, if you are claustrophobic you have to think about it. The cave is home to a colony of 6000 bat is t that you may encounter along the way. Our guide, polite and prepared, made us appreciate every hole during his exploration. The moment we turned off the lights and in total darkness hearing the bats in the next rooms of course, banned many months of the year to protect its reproduction. Recommended

  • Nice to visit for fan and learning
  • I loved it, the Guide's explanations interesting great excursions for children and adults. The walk takes about 90 minutes and I recommend comfortable shoes and possibly from tracking to prevent slipping because inside the cave in several sections you can slip. Recommended!
