  • On the way to our accommodation in Gambassi Terme are we talking spontaneously at the Weingut Corbucci to do a wine tasting and wine to buy. The owner was quite stressed out because just harvest time, yet he has taken the time for a shorter wine tasting including salami, cheese and crackers to the snacking. He spoke very good English, told us much, and was on the whole very sympathetic. At the end of the tasting, we opted for the Chianti Riserva, one of five red wines, which manufactures Corbucci, and took 3 bottles of it. For this, he demanded a total of €70! One from yard sale such as in this case, we wanted to spend actually up to €10 per bottle! The owner just meant that for the tasting free was etc. We paid anyway and moved from dannen to annoy us later for days about this scam. The next day, we saw that the same wine in a wine shop / bar and asked for the price: € 18 per bottle! He had requested but more than €20 for us! And ever we got very good Chianti from the region much less money in wine shops and supermarkets (about €10 / bottle). So always first clarify the price or simply not Corbucci wine buy, even if it is very good!
