  • This small museum is worth a short visit for the interesting collection of fossils, shells and odd relicts from the area, there is also a whale skeleton found locally.  more »
  • A few meters away from the main street of Gallipoli brullicante of people and stalls, there's this gem in which silence and small showcases containing many different exhibits surround you and lead you into a different era. Reflection of a man (e. Beard), curious about everything that his time was science and history. The Museum is small but when you go out you have in mind many ideas and many questions that deserve a close examination and perhaps it is this that museums have to give?

  • The Museum is located in the very city center (Via De Pace, female garibaldina!!) but is snubbed by 98% of all who guiltily go to Gallipoli!! Getting in and go back in time. It's a museum as I saw as a kid (I have 56 years and I teach) and reminds me of a great Hall of many schools of the years ' 60. There is a bit of everything but placed according to precise criteria: nature, science, technology, archaeology, curiosity. you move again one hour watching how much is exposed. We stayed there on 10 August and there was a girl at the ticket office (unfortunately I didn't ask his name) who explained the Museum to myself and to my friend with a skill and incredible dedication!! I've never had a guide within a few dollars of ticket who has submitted so details of the Museum which at that time was literally "in his hands". If you recognize yourself in these lines again on "Brava!" danso at the end of the explanation. I hope that more people will go and see (don't expect it to be the Louvre but a small museum and structured according to cultural habits, even, of the late nineteenth century). NOT TO BE MISSED!

  • Particular. To see. I hope there's more idiotic custodian of several years ago.

  • Amazing, too bad not being able to access the upper floors. I noticed the absence of numerous pieces, like the collection of coins and the Department.
