  • Small museum at the top of an old building. Audio commentary in french. More than 15 minutes. Interesting for your culture but not exceptional.

  • Worth visiting this oil mill since it is the only one of the trentacique oil mills of 1600 completely renovated. The price is low and the staff courteous and prepared lends itself to provide a pleasant description history. Therefore, it is possible to admire ancient equipment used for the production of so-called striking oil that Gallipoli was exported throughout Europe. Interesting, I recommend it.

  • Frantoio marchesale Granafei is an ancient oil mill of great historical relevance, the only one of the thirty-five oil mills of 1600 completely renovated. In this charming place you can admire ancient equipment used for the production of so-called striking oil that Gallipoli was exported throughout Europe and where men and donkeys stationed, without leaving out for six months a year, from October to March with a constant temperature of more than 30 degrees. The entrance fee is very low (1.5 euro) and the Guide involves the visitor telling with passion and expertise about the history and the difficult conditions in which they worked, attracted by lavish salaries, those who worked relentlessly within the light of few lumens. In fact the excellent wages attracted the "arms", where cohabitation with animals was consistent among all kinds of fragrances and hygienic conditions easily imaginable: a visit surely very "educational"
