  • "Gaeta, G you're prettier than a comet!" so they sing the Shoushi on new year's day for streets and alleys of Gaeta. Gaeta is just beautiful, vain crazy to find other adjectives. Clean sea, history, nature, good food and specialties: tiella, ball Cervantes (in a popular local bakery), etc. Places essential: G old all, Monte Orlando, Spiaggia di Serapo and small Fontania (on the ruins of a Roman villa of the Consul Gnaeus Fonteio), via Indipendenza, popular soul of Gaeta with its small shops and markets.

  • A delightful place, easily accessible by car or by train. Numerous attractions, although not all easily connected to each other. Unfortunately during the bathing season, the town is very crowded and parking is very difficult and quite expensive. The rest of the year no shortage, however, the reasons for taking a day or a weekend of rest, leaving enchanted by glimpses of landscape, from the stillness of some places, sights and also by specialty food.

  • To soak up the city and its culture the ideal is to take a walk on the airy lungomare Caboto before moving toward the perched with typical medieval urban plot that revolves around the majestic Angevin-Aragonese castle, consisting of two bodies on which stand out cylindrical towers and turrets, with the typical streets, the walkways, the steeples Normans, the walls , forming the neighborhood St Erasmus. A beautifully peninsula lying on the sea and also a city rich in history: autonomous Duchy and glorious maritime Republic, incorporated in Bourbon Kingdom of which will be the last bastion before the unification of Italy, much to preserve even today, despite being Earth, a spirit deeply.
