  • We just went out ... I'd ESCAPED ... (4) by this fictional visit to the castle of Frassinello, with tasting of typical local products and wines over 5. Apart from the reception quite rude, with recovery "in plenary" in front of others for the failure to print the coupons and have it only (Yes, sorry ... we know that it is unusual, especially for kids our age, but we keep to ecology), visited the Castle crammed into 35-40 people within the various rooms, which thus enjoyed very little. After the tour, we were 10 minutes in the rain in the cold because the tasting was not ready. Upon arrival at the tasting we were waiting for two people: a sommelier, partly responsible, rude and disrespectful, and a nice girl, but unfortunately she too little authority. The tasting (both for wines for food), for which we had to huddle, my pretty much inconsistent amounts that it was enough for maybe 4 people, did not reflect totally the list proposed by coupun we purchased and consisted in: a selection of wines that are already open, sgasati, some at the bottom, glass shop for all wines--whites, reds, fermi moved, barricaded-accompanied by about 150 g of pasta sauce (always for 40 people eh!), a saucer with micro-thin strips of salami (patently of grocery store), a plate of brie (also blatantly!) with two tablespoons of jam, empty micro-saucers canapés that maybe in ' 85 had seen some cheese? egg? sauce? (Who knows). Best of the best the only two breadsticks put the top on the table, certainly barricaded in oak barrels in the last three weeks. Tasting obviously standing, because chairs and tables were not enough even for 10 plastic dishes offered: # 10 pieces plastic forks offers: # 12 pieces (know that I wore everything from home!) A dream-.-

  • The frescoes of the Castle are amazing, so glad that they managed to recover this little gem! It was not easy! The guide who drove us in the halls made it special with anecdotes and historical details really interesting. My heart still bleeds for a Mickey Mouse abandoned to the elements and I was impressed by the story on pit surrounded by a 14th century Mulberry in the courtyard of the Castle. The only drawback the tasting: wines served in glasses wrong (you use the same glass for all proposals) and appetizers inadequate and improvised (pasta for 15 people, 6 cocotte is ridiculous!). If I can give you some advice, don't serve too much to make a good tasting: voting age is also only three: breadsticks, salami and cheese, but quality! The glasses must be at least two types: one for red and one for white people! Some wines weren't bad (Nebbiolo and Muscat). In conclusion, the visit of the castle is recommended for degustation must definitely improve. Perhaps lacking the feminine touch?

  • I have not stayed at the castle of Frassinello but I went to check them out: it was a pleasant surprise. The place is really lovely, the breathtaking view from the belvedere, the restorations and, last but not least, the guide is knowledgeable and engaging. Recommended.

  • A ancient small castle with beatiful original decorations and frescos. A garden for special events is located inside. The landlord is very gentle and kind.
  • Overlooking mostruoso!
  • Typical Castle in Monferrato, overnight accommodation within the structure. Sleep in a castle with frescoed walls is something more unique than rare, since the structure is original practitioner in all its parts. Take a tour inside the castle with tasting of local wines.

  • Last year we booked twice. The first time we were advised that there was no room-with an excuse then found to be false-only half an hour before we arrived on site, and an hour's drive already traveled from home. Two weeks later, booking dates regularly recommend us by the structure itself, we arrived on site to discover the innocent caretaker managers were gone and the room wasn't there. All this without advising us in advance. Nay saying they had tried to call dozens of times the day before. Fake. Ensured us alternative hotel. Our idea was another, spend one night at the Castle. Refused. I write on Google this review because Tripadvisor has twice censured and then deleted-after the response and the likely pressure from the direction of the structure-the reviewer who wrote my wife. Review, obviously, which reported the facts exposed here, and not at all offensive. So people look at Tripadvisor. The reviews unwelcome at certain facilities are censored and or cancelled in a manner unwarranted.

  • We stayed at the castle in June. We arrived as there was a wedding party we took the room without carrying luggage because you could not access to the hotel by car. In the evening when we came back after a nice ride in Monferrato and having dined we refreshed and we lie down. And here the problems started. Ghosts? Maybe!!! We were mobbed by a horde of tiny insects that were everywhere (even in bed) and itchy. It was a real torture. Just turn the light you attacked. I honestly didn't understand that bugs were (not that it has much importance ...) We tried everything and in the end we even tried calling the cardholder and the Manager on the phone to no avail. There is nothing left to do but collect all our belongings and run away ... .... We have subsequently contacted the editor to report the problem who told me that I would know. Since then no longer responds to telephone or mail. Shameful!
