  • I will not dwell on the Museum already reviewed, but point out the beautiful exhibition: in the joy of the Sun. Maitland and the Cenacolo di Francavilla. Pivoting around large canvases permanently preserved in the upper room, the exhibition brings together beautiful smaller works of the painter, including the self-portrait and portraits of members of the Cenacle (D'Annunzio, Barbella, Serao, Tosti), and then sculptures of Barbella, autographs and first editions Of Herald and Serao, scores and letters of Francesco Paolo Tosti, including the famous ' per ' Vucchella ". In short, a chance to appreciate the cultural history of the city and to understand its importance in the early twentieth century. Only con cause borrowing those outstanding works of Michetti kept in Pescara, to a tourist passing through would seem a parochialism that Yahoo really unacceptable. Applaud instead to the excellent organizers of the exhibition (and editors of the catalogue), the Museum of Abruzzo, Lucia Arbace and the municipality of Francavilla.

  • I'm an artist and I have behind me in the Venice Biennale, Chiostro del Bramante, commandery of Pre, museums and exhibitions outside. The Nia is a fantastic facility to abandonment while having extraordinary works in the Foundation. If there were capable directors would be directed at the Guggenheim.

  • The Museo Michetti in which takes place the annual edition of the International Prize for painting and sculpture organized by the Fondazione Michetti. In addition to the rich heritage of winners of Premio Michetti that can be seen on the top floor of Palazzo San Domenico, to note the wonderful paintings of monumental proportions by Francesco Paolo Michetti, "Le serpi" and "cripples" related to folklore Abruzzo and it still deserve a restoration work saw the phenomenon of the progressive dulling of colors. These are two absolute masterpieces that have a cinematic and enveloping the viewer that is projected in the emotional complexity of the two parades rituals. An experience not to be missed.

  • Nice location for cultural events. Enjoyed a beautiful concert inside the museum.
  • Gorgeous? shame about the large canvases of Maitland used as scenery and seats for weddings! It sometimes happens that someone there rests his feet on, no respect for history! You can't do elsewhere these events, meetings etc.???

  • Little gem in the heart of Francavilla high. Always very active from the point of view of culture (exhibitions, events, ...). Just behind the Museum you can enjoy a great view of the coast.
