  • Very interesting site and an impressive history as money was wasted senselessly! You should yourself be sure the leadership, because only with this visit to the upper fortress is possible! When we were here, the stairs was locked however so that no guidance was possible! The rest is also interesting, but quite quickly repeated!

  • Defined as a cathedral in the desert shows up with mighty walls and many loopholes to keep controlled the Valley. Actually, it was never used in war. It is worth visiting it to know its history. Currently also houses an exhibition about the future Brenner tunnel. 7 euro entrance you visit in about 2 hours.

  • This is actually a big, not huge, barracks into a narrow valley and spectacular. Well maintained, various exhibits on display, worth stopping 2 hours for the visit.

  • Have visited the fortress in the context of our holiday. What can I say? Many empty spaces, but still interesting to look at. The spaces that are not empty, are equipped with an exhibition and art installations. Despite beautiful weather, we were virtually alone on the entire site. Unfortunately, only the lower and middle Fort can be made without a guide, the upper one comes only with management (through a tunnel from the bottom). You can tell a lot of time and money was put into this object, all buildings are equipped with new doors and fire alarm systems, also need get no stairs if you want to not because all elevators were installed. The area between the middle and lower fortress especially I liked (see photos on the site). If you look at what has been done this justifies acting pretty steep ticket prices of €7 / adults b.z.w. €5 for students. But, it has become a very nice place which is well worth a visit. Even though it has 25 ° C and more as well as Sunshine out there, it is very cold in the buildings because they are built partially into the rock and made of solid rock. You should bring along so an extra fleece or sweater ;)
