  • We were looking for this tower of Cicero on the map, which we gave to the owner of the apartment in Italian. Voobshchem-all on the road to go from the town of Formia. But on heat (were in the middle of July) and on the carriageway. For pedestrians everywhere there is a sidewalk. Finally came, but everything is closed. Whether siesta has already begun, or not at all, no information, no. But the fence is not large, the tower itself is visible, a garden is overgrown with olive trees. Looked at from the outside, took pictures on the background and went to the beach.

  • ... in my opinion the greatest orator of all time was here (the son) is stuff it shakes your wrists. Once again the Tyrrhenian coast between Naples and Rome turns out to be the preferred area by celebrities of ancient Rome

  • From anywhere you come to Formia is posted a sign at the entrance to the city which shows the following text: "Welcome to Formia of Cicero's town". A tourist would understand immediately that the tomb of Cicero is the most representative monument of the city. Alas if you arrive at night the place is completely dark, with no lights that light up, no anything to emphasize her beauty and without the possibility of being able to capture in a photo ... Then he tells his son, don't worry about tomorrow we will see you in the sunlight and we can visit it ... but the sadness gets even deeper because we realize that the site is closed and can be visited only with a reservation. Well, for a birth of FORMIA is really a great sadness not be able to see his son, after such a long journey, the monument that has passed with much love.
