  • We visited this garden on the recommendation of our hotel reception, having no previous knowledge of the place; we are so glad we did, it was delightful. The informative video was very helpful in our ...  more »
  • I visited La Mortella in late October, but the gender was humid and warm tropical microclimate due to the location selected by the founders of this beautiful garden with an area of rock tufica repairing and absorbs the Sun's heat to process during the night and the winter months. I chose a guided tour as it is interesting to know both the botanical characteristics that the history of this private park. The area of the Park is not very great, but it seems because every centimeter of soil is occupied by saplings, caspugli, saplings and tall foliage of each species of tropical origin. Some areas are dedicated to specific environments such as small Thai style buildings and beautiful water lilies and lotuses. Colorful flowers dot the Park seasonally, and of course a continuous chirping accompanied the visit. It was founded in the years ' 50 by an English couple whose personal history is very interesting.

  • Great gardens. We went on the bus (CS, 1 or 2) and walked round the headland to enter at the top car park. This worked out very well as everything was downhill. The tea room was a must, proper tea in a pot is quite a rarity. Given the €12 admission I was extremely disappointed to be faced with a €1 euro charge for the hothouse (must be euro coin for the door lock). We didn't go in that bit. Finally ended up with the fountains and the lower exit. Lovely trip
  • Lots and lots of stairs and a good view. Not for the elderly or those traveling with strollers. The garden is nice, but only worth 30 minutes, not the 2.5 hrs your excursion will leave you here for. If you are on the island for a day trip, I say skip it and enjoy the sand beaches around the island.
  • Really nice gardens. Lots of toilets not as big as you think it is going to be. Oh and make sure you have a 1 euro coin for the hot house.
  • A beautiful garden to visit, my favorite spot was the Victoria house, but everything was worth seeing. It has a beautiful panoramic view of Ishcia, It is easy to navigate with the map they give you and parking was easy to find as they gave good directions with the signs pointing the way
  • Beautiful place to visit in Forio, Ischia...
