Well kept garden and colourful. Many types of flowers and plants that meet the eyes. One tip: the highest part and overview and little shade and you better go prepared. Very capable and engaging guide.

This hidden garden. A treasure to explore, a precious Pearl of biodiversity in the heart of Ischia. It is worth visiting. The price do entrance is worth the visit. You will be enchanted by the tropical plants, trees, lianas, orchids in greenhouses. Magical fountains with water lilies and Lotus flowers popping up here and there charming visitors. Beautiful also the temple to the Sun, The thai Temple, the tea room and the Greek Theatre. All topped off by beautiful scenery. Da ritornarci

The la Mortella gardens represent the real green lung of the whole island of Ischia. The complex collects itself a huge and very numerous varieties of plants, trees, bushes of all kinds and species, from every corner of the world. There is a numbered route, to be followed with a small map that is given to each user after you have purchased your ticket from medium-low price. Inside there is also a shop, toilets and a bar. To visit the aviary, the Greek temple and the pagoda. Fantastic water lily pond. The journey takes approximately 80 minutes. Ideal for those looking for moments of extreme relaxation, solitude, silence in full contact with nature. Also enjoys free parking. Heartily recommended.

  • Closing hours are misleading. Last entrance is at 1800. This should be displayed more prominently. Also, hiring workers with better people skills would be appreciated.
  • Absolutely beautiful gardens in a stunning setting. My second visit. Highly recommended.
  • Truly amazing garden. Got the prize for most beautiful garden in Italy for a good reason. Open to the public from 1992. It was the main highlight in Ischia.
  • Beautiful and huge garden next to the northwest tip of Ischia. Great selection of flowers trees rocks or any natural beauty. Easily accessible, but it is recommended to start at the entrance on the hill called "Collina" so that you will go down while visiting the park, which saves you a lot of energy. I really loved the Thai Temple, with all the exotic flowers around it. The park is also a bit of a zoo because it houses birds, lizards , and fish as well as the plants. NOTE: the park is only open on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays, so plan ahead because this is a must see sight in Ischia. Price is good for a garden (12 euro/adult and 7 euro/child. The ticket is valid from 9:00 to 19:00 so you can come back to the park. Park can be accessed by foot, it takes just 30 minutes walk from Fioro. Overall excellent park and definitely recommended.
  • Great gardens. We went on the bus (CS, 1 or 2) and walked round the headland to enter at the top car park. This worked out very well as everything was downhill. The tea room was a must, proper tea in a pot is quite a rarity. Given the €12 admission I was extremely disappointed to be faced with a €1 euro charge for the hothouse (must be euro coin for the door lock). We didn't go in that bit. Finally ended up with the fountains and the lower exit. Lovely trip
