  • This review has been lost. However aside from the tiket for entry (which is used for maintenance of the structure, I think) is worth seeing. Approximately 20 minutes from neighbouring Folgaria and beautiful road somewhat less from the village side Francolini Fiorentini (but through a pine wood that fell from Forte Cherle, etc.). You will have good explanations about the function that took in the last war.

  • Just 30 km from the autostrada del Brennero motorway to the Rovereto, three missiles Thunder Base are ... were ready to launch to counter any attack by the Warsaw Pact countries. A scenic winding road leads to the defense system was born right on top of the Passo Coe. On arrival a large car park and a bar with a pond. Leave the car, take a hundred meters to the ticket office and access the bunker with the instrumentation for the launch of three missiles, visible on the outside, while in the hangar exposes a Hercules and another Ajax missile with an explanatory video, uniforms and various electronic components. A blast from the past to remind us of the fragility of peace.

  • Someone would want to speculate but the base with its outdated missiles didn't need to live and you don't even need dead, better go to the Lake.

  • Fantastic reconstruction activities of the cold war. The area occupied by ex-Based Thunder was reduced to a single base (there were three) exalting all transactions that were carried out at the operational level (training) and maintenance on ramps and missiles. An interesting itinerary inside explains how was prepared the basis and what were its duties and how is down. The guides are my greetings and thanks for the extensive explanations. A Team of volunteers with ex-air force staff (now retired), deals with the maintenance and recovery of aircraft serving in those years that will be housed in a new area attached to the Museum. To all who have been busy for the preparation of the Museum "Thunder" at local and regional level must be compliment. I hope the "Thunder" is the first of other museums that make us discover still belonging to the Nation Italy.

  • Former missile base turned into open air museum. Admission fee, but worth it. A visit with the Guide and I think for my children and for the guys who were with us was a history lesson on the cold war, unforgettable, touched with the hands. I recommend to all lovers of history.

  • Open air museum is unique in Europe. Reporting faithfully a former nato base at the time of the cold war. Admission charge with guided very prepared that demonstrates, explains the features of the former base with historical references. The simulation in the bunker of the launch rocket. Positioned the Nice Park with an artificial lake.

  • Definitely worth seeing, nice and well maintained. What you see and hear is worth 1000 times more than a good history book.

  • Faithful reconstruction, both in the original place that apparatus (specially purchased) of anti-aircraft missile base born and closed with the beginning and end of the cold war. The well prepared tour guides, will tell a 40ennio of technologies for defence against attack from the East. You should also visit the environmental context. PS. Only base left of several scattered throughout the Northeast gra plain and mountains.
