  • The Church delle Croci rises, as a thank you for the miracle that saved Foggia by drought, at the location of the Capuchin father Antonio da Olivati planted seven crosses the path of a penitential procession. The Church is reached by a white marble portal, a sort of arc, which leads into a meadow bordered by cypresses at the center of which there are five chapels, originally were seven, shaped small temple containing inside a cross. At the end of the trail is the Church in Baroque style, with a beautiful portal decorated, inside the crypt contains sacred objects of popular type.

  • Really nice and particular Church with a spectacular perspective, in piazza St Eligius in Foggia, welcomes the Pilgrim and accompanies him on a carpeted with beds of about two hundred meters of wonder, in the presence of the only national monument in the city. According to legend it was built in the seventeenth century by order of Capuchins when Father Anthony of Oakes, following a preaching, planted seven crosses out of town. The complex includes a triumphal arch, five chapels with pillars that support the domes and a church in late Baroque style: around seven monuments that have taken the place of the seven crosses. The Church has a nave and two side chapels. The altar is surmounted by a large cross, where he kept a relic of the Holy Wood of the true cross of Jesus, while on a painting depicts the way to Calvary. There is a small crypt under the Church, called Holy Land, home to secret meetings during the Risorgimento and the eternal abode of the fallen soldiers during the first world war.
