  • Very nice hotel in the historic centre of Florence. Spacious room and bathroom, perhaps not very bright but location ... walking distance from piazza della signoria and the Duomo.

  • This street Is the connecting vein between the two main attractions of Florence. Take the time to have lunch and for coffee, before going any further.

  • Via dei Calzaiuoli is the most centrally located and among the most elegant street of Florence, half of a pedestrian traffic. The road, about four hundred meters, it lacks sidewalks, as it is now for many years in the pedestrian area and along its sides there are many of the most elegant shops of Florence. The whole street is full of commemorative plaques. At number 10 a plaque commemorates the discovery of the foundations of the Roman circle of walls occurred at the time of evisceration of the road. The number 11 Red, the Palace of Cavalcanti, Dante is a plaque which recalls the verses dedicated to Guido in one step from hell (X, 58-63). The numbers 56-58 a plaque recalls the San Bartolome Church, Deconsecrated in 1768 and then demolished. Another Church that had a similar fate, Santa Maria Nepotecosa, is remembered at number 72 red. At number 83 red, on the wall of a House, there is the coat of arms of Walter VI of Brienne, the hated Duke of Athens who lorded it over the city between 1342 and 1343. He was placed by his supporter, Cerrettieri Visdomini, and a plaque commemorates his unfortunate choice, indicating how "lesser ambitions stretch, its houses in shame to the city he contaminated with impunity not oppressed". The Red 97 another plaque recalls the workshop of Donatello and Michelozzo, who worked "like brothers". The Red rectangular plaque 105 handed down the family homes and over the Adimari. Finally the numbers 122-124 red, there is a large marble plaque commemorating the widening of the road between 1842 and 1844 under Leopold II of Lorraine.
