Walk across one of Florence's oldest and most iconic landmarks, Ponte Vecchio. Spanning the Arno river in the heart of the city, the 14th-century bridge features a wide, three-arch design supporting a series of historic shop fronts. Stroll the bridge's thoroughfare to peruse shops or see street performances. Visit the secret Vasari Corridor that stretches across the bridge to connect two Renaissance palaces. Antique jewelry enthusiasts may want to keep an eye out for the area's gold and silversmith shops. Plan to see Ponte Vecchio and other attractions that appeal to you using our Florence tour planner.

  • From this beauty hard to avert your eyes. Small houses along the stream, bridges, green meadows all together make this place a paradise

  • It's a medieval bridge with small houses on top of it. They sell expensive jewelry there and it's really crowded. It's worth going there and enjoying the view from the top (if you can find a free spot in the crowd). Though it looks better from afar.
  • Hey Google, you want me to review one of the best bridges of the medieval times? Ok, here's my review: Beautiful from the outside, crowded while on it. Never seen any local in the various jewelries: they're made for tourists. Mainly Asian tourists. Selfie sticks as if there was no tomorrow and large loud groups visiting from all over the world. better go when no one's around (late late at night). For the other facts, search wikipedia. :)
  • Amazing view, but make your self a favour and skip anything touristic around here (coffee, gelato, food, shops) since everything is of low quality. Cross the bridge and enjoy view or snack from the other less crowded side!
  • A popular tourist destination while in Florence. A great spot for photos of the river Arno. It's crowded most of the day so try getting there early in the morning. Shopping consists of high end watches and jewellery.
  • The bridge is lined with shops selling all sorts of jewellery and watches, mostly the very expensive kind. It is however an excellent place to watch the sunset. Although the street is busy most of time so may have to be patient to get a good view.
