  • It's a historic landmark in Florence, and it showcases the same vendor shoppes and draw-down security gates that have been around for hundreds of years. So, yes, it is an engineering marvel to see. Kn...  more »
  • I went with the famous bridge. Unlike seen from a distance, bridge jewelry, jewelry stores and lined. Remnants of the old days? It was filled with tourists. Gerard shops located along the River, we took a walk to the ice-cream. There is this bridge is seen from a distance.

  • Beautiful and unusual, the ponte Vecchio is a traditional symbol of Florence. Yields beautiful shots, especially at sunset.

  • From the Roman Empire till now people have marveled at the beauty of this place. I'm so happy this place was not destroyed during the war it is absolutely stunning. If anyone is looking to visit this place. Definitely spend your time enjoying the sights.
  • Beautiful bridge with jewelry shops on it. Amazing bridge in terms of having the actual stores built as a part of the bridge. Great views of river and at night the Florence lights. Jewelry shops have a good selection but on the pricier side.
  • This bridge is famous for being the only bridge that survived the second world war, but also because this bridge is covered in shops, artists setting up their easels on the side and being a no-car bridge. This bridge will be full of tourists walking up and down, dipping into shops and standing stationary taking pictures, so it will probably not be the best bridge to take when you're trying to get from one place to another quickly. Still, as a famous bridge of significant history and events, take a stroll over this medieval stone bridge to tick this off your Florence to-see/do list.
  • Stunning, better than i even expected. Was there early October so crowds not as bad as in the summer. Nice shops too.
  • Beautiful bridge! Makes for some magnificent pictures and has some interesting history behind it. However, due to the very crowded streets, vendors, and tourists we much preferred to admire from a distance then walk over and through it.
