  • We walked on the bridge at the end of the day, so we got to see it with all its lights on: it was even more beautiful than we expected it to be. It’s an old bridge with a cobbled road, and the few...  more »

  • Among the four old bridges that span the river, the Ponte Vecchio, that bridge which is covered with the shops of jewelers and goldsmiths, is a most enchanting feature in the scene. The space of one house, in the center, being left open, the view beyond, is shown as in a frame; and that precious glimpse of sky, and water, and rich buildings, shining so quietly among the huddled roofs and gables on the bridge, is exquisite.
  • I don't know what I had expected, but it wasn't this! It runs seamlessly from the road and shops so much so that you almost don't know that you're on the bridge. That being said, still a very photogenic location.
  • Ponte Vecchio is a part of the heart of the Florentines and of ancient Florence. Built over the Arno and rich in history, it continues to be a splendid gold and silver market, excellent for satisfying the tastes of tourists and beautiful for the splendid view of the river. It is better to go through it by imagining what it was like in the past and enjoying the joy of sound and colors of a city capable of resisting the passage of time.
  • I strongly recommend this place, go about an hour be for sunset and watch the sun go down from the bridge. It’s busy and alive full of jewellery shops, there is a viewing area half way across on both sides. I loved it here. Have a great time
  • The Ponte Vecchio is one of the symbols of the city of Florence and one of the most famous bridges in the world. Anyone visiting Florence cannot miss an evening stroll on the Ponte Vecchio. At night, in fact, when the wooden doors of the shops close and make them seem like chests, the atmosphere on the bridge becomes even more suggestive and romantic and cannot really be lost!
