Walk across one of Florence's oldest and most iconic landmarks, Ponte Vecchio. Spanning the Arno river in the heart of the city, the 14th-century bridge features a wide, three-arch design supporting a series of historic shop fronts. Stroll the bridge's thoroughfare to peruse shops or see street performances. Visit the secret Vasari Corridor that stretches across the bridge to connect two Renaissance palaces. Antique jewelry enthusiasts may want to keep an eye out for the area's gold and silversmith shops. Dreary repetitive tiny jewellery shops, all offering the same goods. And the short bridge has no architectural merit. Still, it gets you over the Arno…..

An amazing bridge, giving you the feeling of being back in the middle ages or in the roman "The Perfume". Probably my favourite place in the city.

I’m from Texas and my first time seeing this bridge was so nice. We have the 360 bridge in Austin but this was something interesting and unique to see because there are actual buildings on this bridge. How interesting is that? The shops on the bridge were all predominantly gold jewelry stores. There were all really cute. And the view from within the bridge? Just stunning. I got to see it every morning during sunrise on my walk to school there (I was studying abroad at the time). And at night? Even more stunning because they light up the bridge. 10/10 recommend going during or closely after the Christmas holidays. It’s even more stunning then with the lights around Florence.

One lovely bridge in the historical center of Florence. You can find a sun dial on the bridge and a lot of jewelry stores as the place has a history of such things dating back to Medici times. Impressive gaze of Arno river as you can see the other bridges aligning into view point.

One of the most famous landmarks of Florence. This is one of those places that make you feel chills when you visit it. The oldest bridge of Florence with the jewelry shops may have been altered a little with the addition of air conditioning units and aerials, however it maintains its magic. 5 stars, amazing place.

A beautiful bridge with the gold workers at each building. Normally the bridge is absolutely overcrowded, so if you have the luck to be there during Corona or in the early morning or late evening, enjoy those things which you normally can't see and take an undisturbed look from bridge to bridge over the Arno.

Absolutely beautiful and filled with life. There is just something special about this bridge - be it at dawn or at night, when all the goldsmith stores are closed, be it in the the light of a raging sun that only shines half as much as the storefronts. At night, good music attracts a welcoming crowd.
