  • Unlike the experience we had in Florence, our stay in Venice was not as nice as expected. We stay in Mestre, the hotel left something to be desired as well as the region in which it was located. The "Romance" began after the long bus ride "that left us at the station of the ferries leading to Venice-see in advance the costs and timetables. "Create" practically in St. Mark's square, and began a long day of walking. That's right, Venice can even be seen from inside a gondola from 150 euros, so hat and sneakers are essential equipment for those who like to live and breathe the city. Map in hand, set in advance at the hotel your script and "feet to work" ... Worth every second and drop of sweat ... but don't get carried away with the first 50 shops of souvenirs, you'll see many on the way, and few with memories that are out of the usual. As in any tourist place, be careful with bags, glasses and cameras.

  • The square is beautiful, is next to other points of interest and many bus lines that leave you in the Centre or elsewhere, I thought expendable, but if going through it is worth the visit.
