  • A square full of harmony and beauty, kitted out in times where there were the architects and not the superstars (that horrible term), with in the Center the statue of Cosimo andthese Giambologna and fountains of the notch, the portico of the spedale degli Innocenti who faces another and perpendicular to the Church of the Annunciation, with the corner the archaeological museum, which is also very interesting. Do not miss a visit to the Foundling Museum, first in the world for the abandoned children, with the façade designed by Brunelleschi and the magnificent glazed ceramic putti by Andrea della Robbia. This square should be visited, impossible to ignore it

  • This place is reserved for prayer mostly but it's worth popping your head in. Very spectacular inside.  more »
  • The beautiful square is North of the city and there you can find the Spedale degli Innocenti (designed by Brunelleschi) with its Museum, the Church of the Annunciation (unfortunately I was not able to visit). In the middle there lies the equestrian monument dedicated to Ferdinando I de ' Medici by Giambologna and Pietro Tacca and sides the two fountains of the monsters always Tacca.
